Everyone experiences, rather painfully, the chasm between his inner vision and its ultimate
expression. The world - as we know it - has stalled in unusual ways, revealing the
underlying chaos . These are the dark and desolate chasms that obstruct us from exploring
the unexplored, shying away from the tomorrows of endless possibilities.
We have over time
and again bridged these chasms with stories of hope. And yet there are some rifts, unvisited
and unsolved, that we all face, the ones which we have to bridge together, unitedly. But
what, exactly, is this bridge made of ?. And what lies underneath?.
Join us at TEDxMITS,
where we hope to devise ideas, suggestions, thoughts and expressions to bend the rules,
diverge the parallels and build sturdy bridges over the general chasms of life. Indeed,
the
best time to give ourselves a reality check is now.
TED is a non-profit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, usually in the form of short,
powerful talks (18 minutes or fewer) delivered by today’s leading thinkers and doers. TED’s open
and free initiatives for spreading ideas include TED.com, where new TED Talk videos are posted
daily; the Open Translation Project, which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as
well as translations from thousands of volunteers worldwide.
TEDx is a grassroots initiative, created in the spirit of TED’s overall mission to research and
discover “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx brings the spirit of TED to local communities around the
globe through TEDx events. These events are organized by passionate individuals who seek to
uncover new ideas and to share the latest research in their local areas that spark conversations
in their communities.
TEDx events include live speakers and recorded TED Talks, and are
organized independently under a free license granted by TED. These events are not controlled
by
TED, but event organizers agree to abide by our format, and are offered guidelines for
curation,
speaker coaching, event organizing and more. They learn from us and from each other. More
than
3000 events are now held annually.
